Antiverse is seeking a Senior MLOps and Machine Learning Engineer to help develop therapeutics and an enabling biologics discovery technology against challenging targets for 30+ indications. How can you contribute
You will be helping to design and build our machine learning platform that will empower our Machine Learning team to train, evaluate and deploy models at increased scale and speed. This will involve using novel techniques and approaches for working with large protein language models and protein structure prediction at scale.
We are using Google Cloud to deliver a platform that applies broad industry-standard engineering practices to specific biotech problems. We haven't got a long list of required tools because we want someone who can propose solutions and then identify the best tooling - if you don't think we're using the right tooling, this is the kind of job where you can debate that.
Day-to-day activities
Each day can look very different at Antiverse, with new priorities coming in quickly. Below is a rough outline of the work you'll be involved in
- Build reliable, secure, and scalable pipelines that allow our ML engineers to bring models to production and our lab scientists to gain the speedy insights they need.
- Collaborate with Machine Learning and Laboratory teams to better understand their needs from our machine learning models and infrastructure.
- Work cross-functionally with Data Engineering, ML Engineering, and DevOps to resolve issues and standardise practices.
- Utilise agile software development principles, DevOps/SRE, and MLOps practices
Who you are
- A motivated individual, passionate about the vision of Antiverse
- Experience designing, evaluating and building an ML pipeline, from data preparation to model training, evaluation and model serving.
- Worked on data processing or enrichment at a large scale and are familiar with Python, DBT, Airflow, or similar tools.
- Experience deploying large language models / Transformers at scale.
- Experience applying devops approaches such as CICD to model training
- Experience in distributed training and hyper-parameter sweeps
- Knowledge of MLOps tooling (Kubeflow, MLflow, KServe, VertexAI etc.) and common design patterns
- Experience deploying machine learning applications and tools in a secure Kubernetes cluster
